  • EDS 508 is the second course offered in the department dealing with statistical methodology in education. The broad object of this course is to acquaint students with the basic theory, methods, and most importantly, applications of commonly used multivariate techniques such as MANOVA, Multiple Linear Regression, Analysis of Covariance, Exploratory Factor Analysis, Canonical Correlation, and Logistic Regression.

  • EDS 559 presents an application-oriented introduction to developing new and evaluating existing educational and psychological measures. Upon completion of the course, students will learn the process of constructing test items, how to evaluate psychometric characteristics (mainly reliability and validity) of measures, how to report findings technically, and describing and evaluating a number of published instruments.
